Social Club
Peachcroft has a thriving Social Club in the Community Centre and, since inception in May 84, it has been the venue for many entertainments and social gatherings for the
community.
The Social Club offers a variety
of activities and participates in area organised leagues. Darts, ladies
and gents, Cribbage on a Wednesday, Pool Thursdays and Sundays and Aunt
Sally when it is in season. A Quiz is held on Tuesday and a Meat Draw
on Friday. Live Music and Functions are arranged at various times of the
year, with a party for the children at Christmas and of course, the New
Year party.
Annual membership is due in May although new members are welcome to join at any time. Application forms are held at the bar with details of fees and the various types of membership i.e. normal, pensioner and family. All residents within the area of Twelve Acre Drive, Oxford Road, Norman Avenue and Radley Road may apply for full membership whilst those outside may apply for “well wisher” membership. Two bars are operated, one for members and the larger bar, is a family room with darts, pool etc.
Normal opening times are:
Monday to Thursday 7 - 11:00 pm
Friday 5 - 11:30 pm
Saturday 12 - 11:30 pm
Sunday 12 - 10:30 pm
